New Delhi: The University of Lucknow has postponed the semester exams until further notice. The exams were scheduled for January 15-31, 2022. The decision was made when about 50 students showed a positive result.
LU has already closed campus due to an increase in COVID-19 cases along with a decision to postpone exams.
The updated dates of the scheduled exams will be announced on the official website soon. Applicants are encouraged to continue checking the website for updates regarding examination.
According to a previously issued state order, all colleges and other educational institutions in Uttar Pradesh were closed for offline classes until January 16, 2022. However, the scheduled exams had to be conducted offline. Due to the surge in COVID-19 many students are demanding the internet examination.
Approximately 13,592 active cases have been recorded by the UP government, and their number is still increasing. According to the pandemic, the state is already facing a third wave of COVID.
Previously due to the situation with COVID, Kerala CM Pinarai Vijayan also decided to close the school.
Not only Kerala and UP, but also the governments of many other states have postponed previously scheduled surveys due to the pandemic situation.
Through an official letter from Adysha The Ministry of Education has ordered the chancellors and heads of several universities not to hold semester exams PG or UG until further notice.
University of Delhi also postponed the open book exam and set a new date for July 10, 2022. IIT- Haragpur.
